Continuing my previous story telling about Tel Aviv<\/a>…

I should confess: this time I didn’t spend time visiting museums, galleries and so on. Even though Israel has the most museums per capita than any country in the world. So I should come back at least for Tel Aviv Museum of Art<\/a> or others in Jerusalem.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>First of all, it was quite hot outside to walk there, And the second reason is that all my attention was caught by the people!\u00a0<\/span>Actually, I was quite surprised (as I haven’t ever communicated with the Israeli people) with their total openness, with how smiling, active, easy-going they are!
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>As soon as I understood that I was walking around, meeting new people and discovering the country through the stories.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>For example, I’ve discovered that there is a \u201cnational\u201d habit of traveling a lot after the military service. When the school is over the boys spend 3 years and the girls 1 year in the army (Israel is the only country in the world with a mandatory military service requirement for women). After it or they work a little bit to collect money for the trip, or if the finances allow they travel immediately. Everyone whom I’ve spoken has\u00a0spent a year either in India or traveling the Latin countries.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But when they come back home they begin their studies, being around 23-24 years old! And if you make a small search you’ll see that for years Israel is in top 5 of most educated countries in the world! Israel has the leading number of scientists and technicians in the workforce, with 145 per 10,000 people. Over 25% of the country\u2019s workforce is employed in technical professions. Let’s remember that, for example, Tel Aviv is not only a ‘white city’ but also a tech one or ‘start-up city’!<\/p>\n

In general, according to the Better Life Index, Israelis are more satisfied with their lives than the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) average. When asked to rate their general satisfaction with life on a scale from 0 to 10, Israelis gave it a 7.1 grade,higher than the OECD average of 6.5. All is fine) They even don’t l<\/span><\/span>ock the door at any time of the day if they are at home! \ud83d\ude42
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>“Israel is the most gay-friendly nation in the Middle East\u201d<\/a>. Sound awkward as for the Middle East… Actually, you even forget about the geographic zones being there! Feels totally different. And yes, in particular as for Tel Aviv it is true.
\nAnd there is such a huge sporty community in Tel Aviv! It seems that more people are running, riding, jumping, skating, etc, then simply walking citizens.:D And my next post will be dedicated guess to what? Of course, cuisine. Don’t miss! \ud83d\ude09
